Unveiling of High Performance Hub

Cricket Namibia successfully hosted its second Corporate Breakfast for the year on Friday, 11 April 2025, at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground. The event brought together a diverse group of corporate partners, government representatives, and key stakeholders for a morning of strategic networking and celebration.

The gathering was particularly significant as it marked the official opening of Cricket Namibia’s High Performance Hub (HP Hub) – a cutting-edge gym and recovery facility designed to support elite athletes, professional teams, and high-performance sports development in Namibia.

Cricket Namibia was privileged to welcome Mr. Justine Ligyalingi, ICC Africa Development Officer, whose presence reaffirmed the ICC’s continued commitment to supporting cricket development across the continent.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture; Honourable Dino Ballotti, who was joined by Cricket Namibia Vice President, Mr. Polly Negongo, Cricket Namibia Board Member, Mr. Daneel van der Walt and High Performance partners Trio Data and Nutritional Performance Labs.

In his brief remarks, Honourable Deputy Minister Dino Ballotti commended Cricket Namibia for its unwavering commitment to sporting excellence and the development of world-class infrastructure. His presence, alongside representatives from the Namibia Sports Commission, underscored the government’s strong support for the growth and advancement of cricket in the country.

The Corporate Breakfast continues to serve as a vital platform for fostering relationships among Cricket Namibia’s valued partners, encouraging collaboration not only within the cricketing ecosystem but also across various sectors. The event concluded with meaningful engagements and renewed enthusiasm for driving Namibian cricket forward.
