Cricket Namibia and Cricket South Africa (CSA) are pleased to announce an exciting three-match 50-over series between the Cricket Namibia team and the South Africa U19 Men’s team, set to take place from 28 April – 2 May in Windhoek.
The series will be hosted at Namibia’s newest cricket venue, the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground, as well as the High Performance Oval. Both venues will also stage matches during the 2026 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The series will provide invaluable experience for Namibia as they compete against one of Africa’s strongest cricketing nations. The matches will also serve as key preparation for the SA U19 team ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Cricket Namibia CEO, Johan Muller said: “The relationship between Cricket Namibia and Cricket South Africa has grown from strength to strength over the past three years, with the co-hosting of the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup being a testament to this partnership.
“CSA has been hosting Namibian youth teams as part of their annual Cubs Week and regional weeks, and we are proud to return the favour by hosting the South African U19 team as part of their preparation for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2026.
“It is a privilege and a great opportunity for our two countries to showcase our young talent. We look forward to the tournament.”
Cricket Namibia extends an open invitation to the public to witness high-quality youth cricket action at the country’s new home of cricket. This series is a fantastic opportunity for fans to support the future stars of Namibian cricket and experience the excitement of international competition right at home.
