The Capricorn Eagles are travelling to Uganda today to compete in the Victoria Series, a tournament featuring four participating nations: Namibia, Uganda, the United States of America (USA) and Rwanda.
The tournament will be hosted at the Entebbe Cricket Oval and will provide the Capricorn Eagles with an opportunity to test themselves against international opposition while gaining valuable match experience.
The Victoria Series will follow a double round-robin format, with each team facing the other participating nations twice. At the conclusion of the round-robin stage, the top two teams will qualify for the final to compete for the winners’ title, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will contest a playoff for third place.
Strong preparation ahead of Uganda tour
The Capricorn Eagles head into the tournament following a successful six-match T20 series hosted at HP Oval in Windhoek, where the Capricorn Eagles A faced Ireland U19 Women’s team from 25 to 31 October 2026.
The Capricorn Eagles A secured a 4–2 series victory, making the series an important preparation opportunity ahead of the Victoria Series. The matches provided good competitive exposure, allowing the players gain momentum ahead of the international assignment in Uganda.
The Victoria Series now presents another opportunity for the Capricorn Eagles to build on this preparation, compete against quality international opposition and continue strengthening Namibia’s presence in women’s cricket.
