The Capricorn Eagles continued their winning momentum in the fourth game of the series against the Victoria Pearls, securing a solid 21-run victory. After winning the toss, the Namibian side opted to bat first— a strategy that seems to be working well for them in this series.
With Uganda struggling to reach triple digits in their previous innings, the Eagles were determined to set a challenging total. Captain Sune Wittmann led from the front with a commanding knock of 54 off 43 balls, including four boundaries and two massive sixes. Her performance set the tone for the innings.
Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Namibia managed to post a competitive total of 114/8 in their 20 overs. Uganda’s Walaza Sarah was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 2 wickets for 25 runs.
In response, the Victoria Pearls were restricted to 93/6, falling short of the target. Immaculate Nakisuuyi top-scored for Uganda with 35 off 43 balls, while Ritah Musamali added 20 from 30 deliveries. However, Namibia’s disciplined bowling attack and sharp fielding ensured Uganda never gained momentum.
One of the standout moments of the match was the return of Victoria Hamunyela to the starting eleven. After sitting out previous games, she made her presence felt with a spectacular catch that lifted the team’s energy on the field.
With this victory, the Capricorn Eagles have now leveled the series, showcasing strong team spirit.
