Cricket Namibia is proud to welcome Uganda, Tanzania, and Hong Kong, China to Windhoek for the Capricorn Eagles Series, an international Women’s T20I tournament taking place from 21 to 30 July 2026 at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground and HP Oval.
The tournament will see the Capricorn Eagles take on three quality international opponents in a series that promises exciting cricket while providing valuable preparation ahead of future ICC competitions. Fans can look forward to ten days of high-quality women’s international cricket as four nations battle on Namibian soil.
The series also reignites familiar rivalries. Namibia last faced Uganda and Tanzania during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, hosted in Windhoek in 2025, when the three African nations competed in a fiercely contested tournament that showcased the continued growth and competitiveness of women’s cricket across the continent. Those encounters produced highly competitive matches, and supporters can expect another exciting contest when the teams meet again during the Capricorn Eagles Series.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong, China returns to Namibia since the two sides last met in 2024. Their return adds another exciting international dimension to the tournament and presents the Capricorn Eagles with another opportunity to test themselves against quality opposition.
The Capricorn Eagles Series forms part of Cricket Namibia’s continued commitment to growing the women’s game by providing regular international competition and creating opportunities for local players to compete against strong international opposition on home soil and to improve their international rankings.
Beyond the action on the field, the tournament will also serve as a platform for the Capricorn Eagles’ Pad Up For Her campaign, an initiative aimed at ensuring girls have access to menstrual hygiene products so they can remain in school and continue participating in sport. Spectators attending the matches are encouraged to donate a pack of sanitary pads during the tournament or drop off donations at the Cricket Namibia offices at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground.
Cricket Namibia encourages spectators to come out and support the Capricorn Eagles as they represent Namibia on home soil. Entry to all matches is free, providing the public with an opportunity to experience international women’s cricket while supporting the continued growth of the game in Namibia.
