Cricket Namibia Successfully Hosts ICC Africa Regional Conference 2026 in Windhoek

Cricket Namibia is proud to announce the successful hosting of the ICC Africa Regional Conference 2026, held from 3–4 April 2026 at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek. The two-day conference brought together leaders, administrators, and key stakeholders from across the African cricketing landscape, including representatives from all 22 ICC Africa member nations.

Hosted under the theme “Building Sustainable Cricket Ecosystems in Africa – Collaboration, Innovation and Sustainable Development,” the conference focused on shaping the future of cricket on the continent through strategic dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and partnership development.

The conference aimed to empower member nations to unlock new commercial opportunities, diversify revenue streams beyond ICC funding, and enhance the visibility and impact of cricket initiatives across Africa. Through a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, delegates explored innovative approaches to growing the game, strengthening governance structures, and fostering long-term sustainability.
Key areas of discussion included:
-Commercial growth and innovative partnership models
-Fan engagement and digital transformation
-Women’s cricket development and governance
-Infrastructure development and facility management
-Opportunities in technology and live streaming
-Regional collaboration and knowledge-sharing

Day one of the conference, themed “Our Game,” focused on cricket development, governance, and capacity building, while day two, “Commercial Opportunities,” explored strategies to drive revenue growth, fan engagement, and innovation across the sport.

The conference also provided a platform for member countries to share success stories, exchange best practices, and strengthen collaboration within the region.
