Job Advertisement: Executive Assistant to the CEO

Cricket Namibia is the official governing body for the sport of cricket in Namibia. As an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), we are dedicated to developing, promoting, and professionalizing cricket at all levels—locally and internationally. With the recent launch of the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground and our co-hosting of ICC global tournaments, Cricket Namibia continues to lead in high-performance sport and strategic growth.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, dynamic, and proactive Executive Assistant to the CEO to provide high-level administrative and strategic support. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to coordinate diverse responsibilities, and contribute to the efficiency and professionalism of the Office of the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, travel arrangements, and daily schedule.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, reports, and presentations.
  • Support in board and committee coordination and documentation.
  • Assist with strategic project tracking and internal communications.
  • Maintain an effective filing and record-keeping system.
  • Act with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate event logistics and engagements related to the CEO’s portfolio.
  • Liaise with partner organizations, sponsors, government entities, and ICC representatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) as an Executive Assistant, PA, or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based communication tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion or interest in sports and knowledge of cricket is an advantage.
